In February 2019 I set up the Feel Good Project in Duleek to provide free support services and education for people with addictions, drug abuse and mental health and wellness. In March we erected bright floral signs in communities across Ireland to provide positive messaging at a time when morale was at an all time low with lockdown. I commissioned a report to investigate the impact of these signs and messaging on community morale. I was delighted to learn that response to the signs was overwhelmingly positive. 95% of the respondents of a survey experienced positive emotional reactions when they saw the signs. The signs provided the subject matter for local conversation and counteract the negative affects of lockdown and isolation.
