Today I highlighted how private patients who want to access non-prescriptive medicine consult with their local pharmacist and pay over-the-counter for the medication. However those on medical cards with the same ailment can only access the same medication if they visit the GP and get a prescription. This scheme works and it will help our citizens get the medications they need without consulting with the GP.
